VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Papilio Early Learning Baulkham Hills actively acknowledges and demonstrates our respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural histories, heritages, and traditions. Our vision for reconciliation is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised as the First Peoples of Australia. Where all Australians value Elders past, present, and emerging for the wisdom and knowledge they hold, and support emerging leaders in local communities to ensure an equal and equitable future for all.

Our vision for reconciliation is that all children, staff, and families feel a sense of belonging to our learning community and establish and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members. We continue to respectfully integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives, histories and heritages within our daily practices and critically reflect on our RAP actions.

We ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural identities are respected and that all children are recognised and nurtured as the creators, thinkers, and actors of today and tomorrow.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Papilio Early Learning Baulkham Hills acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Land on which our service resides, the Dharug People. We acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly to the education of young children, and recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and contributions existed long before our service's story began. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
