VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Hopskotch's vision for reconciliation is to maintain a diverse working group that includes educators, management, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees, and families to work alongside each other as we deepen and strengthen our RAP.   We will continue to holistically embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives in our daily curriculum and environments in a meaningful, non-tokenistic, respectful, and culturally safe and responsive way.   We strive to consistently educate our youngest citizens about the importance of diversity and inclusion, and learning about the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives in our learning journey towards reconciliation. Drawing on their  growing knowledge, educators and children can utilise their voices to promote the value of reconciliation and educate their family and community about the opportunity to support both our Kindergartens and our nations reconciliation journey.   We will strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider local community, to foster a welcoming, inviting space where everyone can feel that they belong.
