At Chuckles Childcare and Early Learning Service, our vision for reconciliation is to create a culturally inclusive learning environment and workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel safe, welcome and valued. We believe that reconciliation should be embedded in everyday practices and actions, fostering a nation that is strengthened by respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community. Chuckles Childcare Centre and Early Learning Service acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their deep connections with the land, sea and Country and respect their ongoing cultures and contributions to society. We strive to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within curriculums and celebrates culturally significant dates and events. We continue to work respectfully alongside the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We acknowledge that our RAP is a continual process, requiring educators to work collaboratively to ensure we uphold our values of respect for diversity, inclusion, and advocating for the rights of all children. We will use our RAP to provide practical strategies for building and renewing deeper partnerships and engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations, families and individuals; enabling us to learn from one another and build a future of equity and equality for all First Nations peoples.
