Our vision for reconciliation is to educate our community about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and perspectives within our daily practices. We will continue providing opportunities for staff to deepen their understanding and respect for the complex and diverse perspectives and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We build and maintain respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and promote equality and equity within our community through acknowledging the true histories of Australia and striving for the removal of negative race relations. We provide a holistic approach to reconciliation in education, focusing on embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ ways of knowing into our daily practice, supporting early leaners to foster their understanding of diversity. We will continue to actively seek feedback from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members of the local community as we embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives throughout our everyday routines and practices.
