At Goodstart Annandale Brazier Drive, our vision for reconciliation is to provide a culturally safe and supportive environment that facilitates opportunities for all children, families and educators to develop a strong understanding and respect of the First Peoples of Australia's their own cultures and identities, and to acknowledge and value the identities, histories, traditions and continuing contributions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
We acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Nations Peoples of Australia, and we will strive to champion quality opportunities and outcomes for Early Childhood Education and Care to contribute to the reconciliation journey, and positively influence and guide future generations. We strive to consistently provide a welcoming, nurturing, supportive and diverse environment for all that visit or attend our service, providing a sense of belonging within the community. We are committed to building real, lasting relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, celebrating cultural events together, and creating space for their voices in our programs. We also work closely with local First Nations community groups to make sure we’re learning and growing in ways that truly respect their culture and experiences
