The vision for City Child Care Centre is to provide a high quality culturally appropriate early childhood education for all children to reach their full potential. Our Centre is committed to fostering equal and equitable education opportunities and outcomes for all children in particular Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
We wish to form positive relationships between the community, our educators, families and children by welcoming the Darumbal community into our service. We understand that Identities and Cultures have been, and are, a source of strength and resilience for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We want to also embrace the wisdom and knowledge of the First Nations Peoples by incorporating these perspectives throughout our curriculum. Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we aim to make and extend meaningful ways to increase the respect and deepen knowledge by engaging with the world’s oldest continuous living cultures.
