Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity and a culture of acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures as integral in a shared national identity. Â
At Goodstart Early Learning Gladstone Beak Street we continue to acknowledge Australias true histories and recognise the wrongs of the past and how these continue to affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today. We will work respectfully in collaboration with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, Educators, families, children and the broader community in continuing learning, adapting and generating positive changes towards progress, equality and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and future generations.  Â
Our service aims to provide high quality education for all children and families, and every First Nations person feels welcome to contribute to the early learning community. Â We will provide opportunities for all children to learn about the true histories and cultures of Australia's First Peoples, in an inclusive environment that is responsive and culturally rich and proud of its diversity. We will honour the resilience and strength of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community.Â
