Our vision for reconciliation is for reciprocal relationships with Elders, parents, jarjums and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will continue to include First Peoples’ voices and histories within our daily practices and learning experiences, respecting the diverse perspectives and experiences of First Nations peoples as we work with, and alongside, the Bribie Island (Yarun) and surrounding community.
Through maintaining respectful relationships and providing culturally responsive environments, we endeavour for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to feel welcome within the service community.
Bribie Island Community Kindy staff will continue to be provided with opportunities to deepen their knowledges and understandings of First Nations cultures and perspectives, sharing their learnings in a meaningful and culturally appropriate way.
