VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Goodstart Early Learning Pacific Pines, our vision for reconciliation is to continue to provide all children, especially First Nations children, with equal and equitable opportunities to become capable researchers and facilitators in their own ongoing learning.  As early childhood educators, we continue to ensure each child's agency is realised and their individual cultural contributions to their environments are respected, creating a sense of belonging, being and becoming.

We are committed to meeting the needs of our families, and the wider community, and respond to these needs by offering a program that promotes equality, equity, diversity and inclusion.  As educators, we will value and recognise families as the first and most important carers and educators of their children, providing all children with the best possible start in life.

At Goodstart Pacific Pines we acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land in which we come together and learn on, the Kombumerri people, who speak the traditional Yugambeh Language, and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the First Peoples of Australia, and pay tribute to their ancient and enduring cultures, which deepen and enrich the lives the lives of the community.

Building meaningful relationships with the local First Nations community members allows us to connect and collaborate and build our cultural awareness and guides us to respectfully implement Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum.

Within our centre, we will practice and promote a program that is inclusive, and that these practices are respectfully embedded as part of everyday curriculum.
