Waterford West World of Learning has a vision for reconciliation to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people feel welcome and included in our service. We inspire to have all educators understand why reconciliation is important and embed reconciliation into our programs and practices. Our vision is to be able to share our reconciliation learnings with families and children in our service and beyond. We aim to build respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We will commit to providing a culturally safe environment and always striving to improve our knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives and histories.
