C&K Arana Hills Kindergartens' vision is to provide a welcoming and culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and all cultures reflected in our community. We will respectfully and meaningfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives throughout children's education and learning, ensuring staff are provided with the opportunity to develop their cultural capacity and provide a culturally responsive and safe education and care space. We are committed to building relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, that are meaningful, long-term and respectful. We are committed to ensuring that our centre is a culturally safe space as we work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, building our cross-cultural understanding, learning new perspectives, and acknowledging the true histories of Australia. We aim to do this by supporting local initiatives and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, attending community events, and being open and respectful in our engagement.
