Our Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten's vision for reconciliation is to create a place of equity, equality, dignity and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Developed with our team of educators our actions will include cultural awareness training for all staff, and better policies to engage all children to develop an understanding and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories, cultures and contributions. Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) will support the teams in our services’ commitment to become an organisation where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children will foster respectful relationships. We are committed to building a service where all children, staff, families and the wider community understand and appreciate the shared histories and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout Australia. Through our RAP we will promote the inclusion of appropriate and relevant resources that will improve cross cultural awareness and understanding to strengthen engagement with all children, families and community members in all our early learning programs using the five dimensions of reconciliation : race relations, equality and equity, institutional integrity, unity and historical acceptance.
