Our vision for reconciliation is for all children, educators, families and communities to be knowledgeable about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and perspectives.
We strive to build and maintain holistic and inclusive relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities based on mutual admiration and respect. We recognise that these relationships require all educators, children and families to develop a deeper understanding of, and respect for, the cultures, knowledges and perspectives of the First Peoples of Australia.
As a community, Goodstart Early Learning Rowville - Stud Road, we commit to continuing our journey of reconciliation alongside children, families, educators and the wider community. We will continue our commitment to contributing to a culturally responsive learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including staff, children, families and the wider community, feel a sense of belonging and strong connections within our service and local community. We strive to be a service where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultural identities are continuously respected; and all children are recognised, supported and nurtured.
