Our vision for reconciliation is for Goodstart Early Learning- Epping High St to seek to continue to develop and strengthen our relationships with the Wurundjeri People, the Traditional Owners of the Land on which our centre resides. Staff, children, and stakeholders are encouraged to learn about and further their understanding of the shared histories and rich cultures of the First Nations peoples on this Country. When we are knowledgeable about these rich cultures, we can truly value and honour them as part of our shared national identity. Therefore, we commit to walking and learning together for reconciliation with First Nations peoples. We work with local First Nations peoples and wider community to raise awareness, equity, equality and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Reconciliation for us is an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families have the same life opportunities as all Australians.Â
