Our vision at Goostart Point Cook - The Strand, is to openly respect and acknowledge the unique connection that the Bunorong People have to the Land on which our centre is situated. We are committed to continuing to build and maintain genuine, respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We are committed to embedding respectful experiences that encourage children to explore First Nations peoples’ cultures, perspectives, stories, languages, and histories within our curriculum and learning environment. We envision a future where First Nations peoples are actively recognised as being the First People of Australia and where all Australians embrace the cultures, perspectives and knowledges that Elders and First Nations peoples hold. We will continue to work with the Elders to ensure opportunities to share their voices, informing our ability to meet the needs of the community and we strive to work with families to increase their knowledge and understanding of reconciliation.
