At Bulli Community Preschool, we acknowledge and respect the cultures and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe reconciliation is about strengthening partnerships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people for the benefit of the local community as part of a shared national identity.
Our vision for reconciliation is for all to hold a deep understanding of, and respect for, the local First Nations peoples, acknowledging Australia’s true histories and a strong sense of unity.
Through the ongoing RAP journey, we endeavour to further our understanding and recognition of Australia’s true histories, sharing this with the younger generation and families through professional opportunities. As we work on this commitment to progressing reconciliation within our preschool community, we will continue our roles as advocates and allies in building meaningful relationships with, and promoting equity and equality for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and community.
