Sandcastles Early Education Centre recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our early childhood service is offered. We acknowledge the link we have with the ancient histories of Australia through the Land on which our early learning environments have been created.
Sandcastles Early Education Centre recognises that children’s connection to their community is essential to their sense of identity and strive to contribute to an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children and families feel a sense of belonging and develop strong connections with community and Country. Children are central to everything we do; it is important to give children the opportunity to explore and learn about First Nations peoples, this can only be achieved through teamwork, communication, educational programs, purposeful experiences and ongoing support.
