Our vision for reconciliation is to continue be an inclusive Preschool founded on unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians. Through recognition of the true histories of Australia, strengthening our relationships with local Elders and families and striving for equality and equity we educate children and ourselves as a community of practice, so we can move forward and be advocates for a life free from racism, bias and discrimination, forging stronger relationships based on trust and respect.
As Yamba Preschool continues to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ voices and perspectives as we continue deepening our understandings and personal connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, we strive for everyone to feel culturally safe, equitable and equal.
