At Redhead Community Preschool, our vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge and value the cultural history and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Â
Our vision is an inclusive future, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are recognised as being the First Nations Peoples of Australia. Â We strive to collaborate authentically with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and to develop genuine relationships. Â
We ensure that we will respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives into our program and curriculum, always informing families and the wider community with current information and knowledge. We believe that all cultures should be respected and that children have the right to learn and celebrate cultural differences in an authentic and positive way. Â
We aim to gain awareness and recognise that the land on which we meet and learn is Awabakal Land and acknowledge the Awabakal peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the Redhead Community. We embrace the spiritual connections that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have towards the lands, waters and communities. Â
