At Deborah Little, our vision for reconciliation is grounded in honouring the Land on which we learn and recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia. We are committed to ensuring that their cultures, histories and knowledges are respectfully embedded throughout our everyday curriculum, relationships and practice.   We believe reconciliation grows through strong, authentic and reciprocal relationhips. We value the relationships we have built with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and are committed to maintaining and deepening these connections as we walk this journey together.   We recognise that meaningful reconciliation requires the inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices, experiences and perspectives in our learning environments. We acknowledge that some knowledges must be taught and shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the rightful custodians of this cultural knowledge.   Our vision is for an environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children thrive, where all children, families and educators develop a strong understanding, valuing and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and where Australias true histories are acknowledged as essential to shaping a more just, inclusive and equitable future.   Through ongoing reflection, learning and action, we commit to fostering a community that recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as central and proud contributors to our national identity and to our shared future.
