VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Explore & Develop Annandale, we value reconciliation as an ongoing journey grounded in truth-telling, respect, and justice. We are committed to embedding continuous critical reflection across our whole learning community and fostering a deep, authentic commitment to reconciliation in all aspects of our work.

We actively listen to, learn from, and stand alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. We seek to understand and honour First Nations histories, cultures, and contributions—confidently and respectfully learning with and alongside children, families, and community.

We are dedicated to broadening the perspectives of our learning community by fostering a genuine appreciation for and respect of Australia’s First Peoples. We challenge unjust social norms, advocate for equity and systemic change, and promote truth-telling, historical acceptance, and healing.

We respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and are committed to meaningfully integrating First Peoples’ perspectives into our everyday practice. Educators critically reflect on their own roles, learning alongside children and listening deeply to the voices and aspirations of young people and First Nations Peoples.

Together, we envision a reconciled Australia and act with hope, courage, and responsibility to help shape that future.
