VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Platinum, we envision a future where our entire community comes together in a spirit of respect, understanding, and mutual support. Our commitment to reconciliation is grounded in the belief that all children deserve to grow up in a world that values diversity and fosters a strong sense of belonging, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing journey, one that requires continuous learning, reflection, and the collective commitment of our whole community. It involves deepening our understanding of the true histories of this land, and the cultures, contributions, and enduring strengths of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Platinum, we are committed to growing our cultural responsiveness and respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our everyday practice, with guidance and permission from community members.

We also acknowledge that meaningful reconciliation extends beyond words. It calls for action dismantling structural barriers, addressing the ongoing impacts of colonisation, and supporting truth telling, justice, equity, and the right to self-determination. We strive to build respectful, reciprocal relationships with First Nations communities and contribute to a more just and equitable future for all.
