VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Bunbury Catholic College, we envision a community where students become confident and compassionate young adults, inspired by the teachings of Jesus, to make a difference in a changing world. We are committed to building mutually respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We acknowledge and respect the rich cultures, heritage, and traditions of the Wardandi people of the Noongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of Goomburrup (Bunbury), Western Australia.

We strive to be a learning community in the Marist tradition, empowering students to achieve their personal best. We are dedicated to providing equitable and equal opportunities for all, especially First Nations people, fostering an environment of respect, equality, and inclusion.

We are committed to actively collaborating with First Nations peoples to foster reconciliation, justice, and respect. By building strong, respectful relationships and working together, we aim to change attitudes and acknowledge the diversity of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We strive to create an inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are valued and celebrated.

We are dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of First Nations peoples cultures and histories, ensuring that our actions reflect our motto: To act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8).
