VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At South Lake PS we will respectfully embed reconciliation within our educational setting and learning opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives to support students, staff and the wider community to develop a deeper understanding of reconciliation.

All members of our community will work together, side by side, to respectfully share knowledge and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures to achieve reconciliation through education.

Our school is a culturally inclusive educational community that values and respects the past, present and future histories and contributions Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples make to our community, and as part of our national story. We will work together with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous community members to reflect deeply and provide meaningful opportunities for all students to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives.
