At Northfield Primary School, we acknowledge and respect the deep histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that the Land on which our school stands is the Land of the Kaurna People, and we are committed to honouring their enduring connections to Country by being active carers of the Land and all living things upon it.  We believe that reconciliation is a continual, active journey for our whole community, one of learning, unlearning, and re-learning. We are committed to working together to build a school culture that promotes understanding, celebrates the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and embeds truth-telling and respectful relationships at its core.  Our vision is to create a welcoming, culturally safe and inclusive environment where students, staff, families and community members including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples  feel respected, celebrated and empowered to share and grow in their cultural identity. We are working to build genuine, respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and to ensure all students can thrive, lead and learn through a strong foundation of equity, respect and connection.      We also honour the Kaurna peoples ongoing contribution to the richness of our school community. We strive to learn from their traditions, stories and wisdom to build a stronger, more inclusive future for all students.      Â
