VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

St Ursula's College community recognises that for countless years Aboriginal people have lived in harmony with the Land on which the College is situated. We acknowledge that the College is located on the Traditional Land of the Darumbal people. We acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have unique and diverse cultures with deep and abiding relationships to Country, and that continuing to develop a universal respect for the Traditional Custodians of Country lies at the heart of reconciliation. We recognise Australias First Nations' peoples demonstrated great resilience in the face of adversity.

By living and proclaiming Gospel values, St Ursula's College remains committed in the field of education and in the practice of justice in our efforts to encourage reconciliation in our College and broader community.

As a community we strive to build respectful relationships with the Darumbal people, nurturing an environment in which all members of our community can engage in activities to grow in knowledge and understanding of stories, histories, and traditions of the Darumbal people. We deepen our commitment to extending opportunities for all staff, students, and community members to engage in reconciliation and classroom activities, fostering a community dedicated to learning and respectful understanding of First Nations' people's perspectives, embedded in cultural responsiveness.
