VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is an Australian society that values, recognises and celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and heritage as a proud part of a shared national identity.

That all Australians value and understand Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and acknowledging our shared rights and responsibilities to each other. That Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander experiences are acknowledged, and there is a commitment to building relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community that is built on mutual respect and trust.

That reconciliation is supported at all levels of government, business, and community. All Australians understand, acknowledge and accept the wrongs of the past and the continuing impacts of these wrongs on First Peoples of Australia. We work towards an Australia that makes amends for the wrongs of the past and ensures reconciliation is central to our educational community.  As a Kildare Ministry College we echo the Trustees Statement shared below

"The Trustees of Kildare Ministries are steadfast and consistent with their commitment to inclusive and empowered communities and see this as a fuller expression of our Vision and Mission statement and a reflection of our Values in action."
