Daylesford College is a learning community that celebrates First Nations cultures as the oldest living continuous cultures. Our college will be a community that acknowledges and shares the true history of Australia’s colonial past, including unjust and racist events that have impacted and continue to impact First Nations peoples. We commit to improving the educational outcomes for all First Nations students. Daylesford College’s vision for reconciliation is one where the Dja Dja Wurrung people, their history and culture, and all First Nations peoples, histories and cultures, are at the heart of our school. We are committed to building genuine, ongoing relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community through listening, collaboration and shared decision making, so that our actions reflect respect, reciprocity and trust.
