St John's Parish School

It is our responsibility to teach, educate and engage our school community about the journey of reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people and the wider community. We will build a community that will continually strive for a deeper understanding of the histories, cultures and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Led by the Creator Spirit, the foundations of our faith and mission of reconciliation, we will continue to pursue our ongoing reconciliation journey of reflection, learning and action.   We recognise the special place and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within Australia and we acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have been the caretakers of this Land for more than 60,000 years. We respect their spiritual connection to Mother Earth through the Dreaming. As people of ancient cultural heritage, we recognise and strive to understand the special place and rich history of Aboriginal peoples within Australia.
