Our vision for reconciliation is for Camberwell Primary School is for it to be a place that meaningfully acknowledges and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and languages. We will continue to foster a community that feels confident engaging with First Nations' peoples and cultures. We will continue to foster a learning community that understands how to meaningfully include the voices and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will respectfully embed these perspectives in the classrooms, the life of our school and within the community. Â
In order to achieve this, we will work towards building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our local community, and explore Australias true histories, using an updated lens that takes into account past and current events and their relevance today. We do this with the view of creating a more harmonious and reconciled Australia.Â
