Carey Baptist Grammar School is committed to the process of Reconciliation through acknowledging and understanding the historical and ongoing impacts of settlement and colonisation on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe Reconciliation involves truth-telling to foster equity, understanding, and respect between First Nations and non-Indigenous Australians. Key to our vision is engagement with the Statewide Treaty for Victoria. This alignment will guide access to quality resources and professional learning for staff, and in doing so, increase opportunities for our students and the wider community to become more educated.  This year we aim to further develop the capacity of our school community to be allies in reconciliation, interrupt racism and contribute to the improvement of culturally responsive practices in our school.Â
