At Fern Bay Public School, our vision for reconciliation is to build a community where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures and perspectives are respectfully embedded, recognised and engaged with. We believe reconciliation is about fostering unity, respect and equity, and we are committed to ensuring that our school is a culturally safe and inclusive place for all.  Our Reconciliation Action Plan guides us in this journey. It is a living document that evolves as we reflect, learn and strengthen our practices. We are committed to building strong, respectful and enduring relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, particularly the Worimi people, on whose Land we learn and play every day.  We will deepen our students and staffs understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories and cultures by listening to and learning from Elders, knowledge holders and community members. Through these connections, we strive to create meaningful opportunities that enrich the educational experience for our students and strengthen our whole school communitys commitment to reconciliation      Â
