VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Lansvale Public School, our vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge, respect, and engage with the cultures, histories, stories, traditions, and languages of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe that reconciliation is a shared responsibility and are dedicated to learning together, walking together, and working together as one Australia.  Lansvale Public School is committed to fostering a culturally safe and supportive environment by engaging authentically with all stakeholders within the school community. We strive to build stronger connections with the local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities, ensuring their voices are heard, respected, and acted upon. We acknowledge our country’s shared histories and are committed to professional development that empowers staff to deliver truthful learning programs.  As part of our ongoing efforts, we will encourage our students to explore current affairs and issues facing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are dedicated to ensuring that   Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and all students reach their full learning potential, development, and wellbeing. Our school community will persevere with continuous, reflective practices to serve our students, staff, and the broader community.
