At Bluebird Early Education Clyde North, our vision for reconciliation is rooted in our WITH philosophy working WITH children, WITH families, WITH teams, and WITH community. This approach guides our everyday practices and relationships, ensuring that reconciliation is embedded in all we do. We see reconciliation in education as an opportunity to build meaningful connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to foster a deep respect for the Traditional Custodians of the Land, the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. Our commitment to reconciliation is ongoing and collaborative. We value and seek the guidance of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as we shape our learning environment to be culturally responsive. These relationships inform our practices as we reflect, grow, and embed First Nations peoples perspectives authentically and respectfully. As a learning community, we understand that reconciliation requires continuous learning, un-learning and re-learning. We commit to engaging in ongoing cultural awareness and development, challenging our assumptions, and deepening our understanding of the true histories of Australia.
Reconciliation is not going to happen in a day but will be a collaborative journey over years to come - one we walk WITH each other, and WITH Country, every day.
