VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Warringa Park School - Cayleys road campus OSHC, our vision for reconciliation is to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples towards a future founded on respect, truth, and unity.   We envision a learning community where the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations peoples are deeply respected and embedded in all that we do. Reconciliation, for us, means building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and acknowledging the ongoing connection to Country, culture, and identity.   Our commitment is driven by the belief that every child deserves to grow up in a society that values diversity, promotes inclusion, and acknowledges past injustices. We recognise the strength and resilience of the First Peoples of Australia and aim to create a culturally safe environment where all children, families, and staff feel a true sense of belonging.   Through education, reflection, and meaningful action, we are dedicated to fostering empathy, understanding, and respect across our school community. We believe that reconciliation is not a destination, but a continuous journey, one that requires listening, learning, and working together in genuine partnership.   With hearts and minds open, we are committed to creating a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are honoured, and reconciliation is lived every day.
