VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to nurture authentic relationships, harmony and unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Non-Indigenous Australians, the wider community, while fostering a national culture that portrays equality, inclusiveness, and equity, and a nation free of any kind of discrimination. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land, and we strongly believe that reconciliation requires genuine and meaningful two-way relationships between non-Indigenous Australians and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At our center, reconciliation is about developing children's understanding and mindset about the Traditional Owners of the Land, to love, nurture, observe, value and respect the Wurundjeri Land, and build meaningful relationships with Wurundjeri people. We will educate children about the histories and cultures of the Traditional Owners of the Land by providing a diverse range of learning experiences in respectful ways and engaging in open-ended conversations where every child is encouraged to share their voices.

Our educators strive to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into their planning and curriculum through intentional teaching strategies, open-ended conversations, and to equip all children for a reconciled Australia, where everyone feel belonged, respected, valued and acknowledged.
