VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Here at Neighbourhood ELC, our vision for reconciliation is to respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures, histories, and perspectives into our centre, and day to day routines. We aim to achieve this vision through consistent engagement with reconciliation action and opportunities to learn for all educators, children, and families within our service. We do this through sharing Australia's true histories and guiding educators, children, families and the wider community to interact with the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan. The educators here at Neighbourhood, will provide a respectful and safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and will aspire to continue our philosophy of equality and equity in all outcomes in the service.     Our educators are striving to build relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We aim to educate our children about reconciliation in a respectful and meaningful way, and together we understand the importance of the continued significance of the cultures, traditions, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
