VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Early Learning Victoria – Bani Walup, our vision for reconciliation is grounded in respect, unity, and truth-telling. We are committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities are acknowledged, respected, and represented.

We respectfully acknowledge the Jadawadjali people of the Wotjobaluk Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn, play, and grow. We pay our deepest respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring connections to Country, culture, language, and community.

At Bani Walup, reconciliation means walking together in genuine partnership—children, educators, families, and community—to foster understanding, equity, and truth. We commit to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our practices and curriculum, and to building meaningful relationships with local Elders and First Nations peoples.

We believe that reconciliation is both a responsibility and a journey. Through deep listening, cultural learning, and shared action, we aim to inspire future generations who are inclusive, informed, and proud to walk in solidarity toward a just and respectful future for all.
