Our vision for reconciliation at Great Beginnings Gilles Plains is to help shape an Australia that values and acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. As Early Childhood Educators we are passionate, innovative, dedicated, and compassionate, and always have integrity when learning, playing, and embracing the young minds we care for. Therefore, we strive to further develop our knowledge and understanding of Kaurna peoples, as well as all First Nations peoples.
We aim to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples towards reconciliation through learning and listening. We feel we have a responsibility to educate children, families, and educators to build a united service where we can continue to our reconciliation journey.
