At Sagewood Canningvale, reconciliation means fostering unity and strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous people. Reconciliation is educating the current and next generations of children to facilitate change in the way we think and act.
Our vision for reconciliation is for educators to continuously learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples, sharing their learnings with children and families. We strive to build relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
At Sagewood Canningvale, we encourage educators, children and families to be part of our reconciliation journey, working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to invite those in the early childhood profession to do the same.
