Here in St. Josephs Preschool and Long Day Care Rosebery, we are on a journey of transformation to become more reconciled with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We wholeheartedly believe that early childhood lays the foundation for lifelong learning, and we endeavour to truly weave reconciliation into our philosophy, engagements and fabric of our centre and community.Â
We are carving out a cohesive approach that genuinely brings all stakeholders along on the journey respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders perspectives into our daily conversations, programming and planning and learning and reflecting on how to teach the children of the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives authentically and respectfully Â
We will continue to build and reflect on our learning environments to be culturally safe for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families and respectfully engage, collaborate, and build relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.Â
