Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that truly understands and respects the First Peoples of Australia.
Here at Elizabeth Street Caring 4 Kids, our vision for reconciliation is for equal and equitable access to high quality education and learning opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and non-Indigenous children within a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our commitment to working towards reconciliation within our service is integrated throughout our intentional teaching and embedded practices.
We pay respect to the local Darug People and acknowledge all First Nations peoples, histories, cultures, and customs within an inclusive educational program that acknowledges the Land on which we work and play.
We commit to upholding our responsibility in teaching the future leaders of tomorrow and the recognise the diversity of First Nations peoples’ cultures. We will continue to collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, community members and Elders, respecting their ongoing contributions as we aim to shape a shared sense of unity.
