Here at Generations Early Learning, we are committed to acknowledging and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' cultures, perspectives and beliefs in our daily practice and programs with children, families and our wider community.
We are committed to developing our knowledge and understanding of Australia’s true histories and develop a culture were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively respected and acknowledged within our service. We demonstrate an ongoing commitment to working alongside Aboriginal Elders, agencies, services, community members and families to ensure we respectfully embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our programs and everyday service. Delivering it in a respectful and authentic way.
Our centre supports and advocates for an inclusive and culturally safe environment that embraces acceptance of many cultural identities and acknowledges that we are on what will always be Aboriginal Land.
We believe that reconciliation is about truth-telling and acknowledging the past. We wish to bring positive change within our community and feel that it is an opportunity to challenge attitudes/beliefs and develop an anti-bias approach as we plan for an equitable Australia into the future. We will actively participate in recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples strengths, courage and resilience. Within our centre we will continue to acknowledge and support First Nations Peoples histories, cultures and contributions as we support reconciliation.
