At Explorers Early Learning Mt Cottrell, we are committed to coming together through respectful relationships that ensure justice, equity and equality for all. Reconciliation, to us, means fostering an environment of mutual respect, where we build meaningful relationships and respect for all cultures. We strive to understand each other better, advocate for equity and equality across the nation, and create a more inclusive and reconciled society.
We are dedicated to building stronger, more positive relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples. By learning from the past, we aim to work towards a fair, equitable and equal future for everyone. Reconciliation is not just about understanding and acknowledging the true histories of Australia —it is about taking active steps to create a respectful, just, and united future.
We aim to achieve this through our inclusive early learning programs, learning environments, curriculum and daily interactions with children, educators and families. We will be open to new ideas and concepts and encourage critical reflection of our own teaching practices.
At Explorers Early Learning Mt Cottrell, we believe that reconciliation is a process of making things right, and we are fully committed to playing our part in this journey.
