At Only About Children Moonee Ponds we believe reconciliation begins with a vision of unity, respect, acceptance, and learning.Â
At Only About Children at Moonee Ponds we view reconciliation as a process to form respectful relationship with, and understanding of, First Nation's peoples and cultures, languages and connection to Country. It is in reconciliation that we can become an equal and equitable nation. Our Campus acknowledges and seeks contributions and engagement from Australias First Nations peoples and all peoples, and it is through the understanding and acceptance of our shared history that we can take steps to move forward together. Through the equal and equitable education of current and future generations and respectful connections with First Nations communities we will work to bridge the gap and find a common goal to sustain the Land, waterways and living creatures, through an appreciation and understanding of ways of being and knowledge of Country.Â
Our vision for reconciliation is an environment of inclusion, mutual trust and respect through collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will work together to reduce prejudice by providing rich learning experiences that strengthen knowledge and understanding of reconciliation while fostering a community that respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We are committed to teaching children about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and contributions and providing a culturally supportive environment. we seek to integrate and embed a connection to and knowledge of Country and  First Nations peoples histories and perspectives. We do this through respectful practices and ongoing learning opportunities within our curriculum and professional development. Children and their families are welcomed and encouraged to share culture with our campus community.Â
