Our vision for reconciliation is to establish a culturally safe environment for all stakeholders especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islande people, within our service and community. This will be a place where children and their families, staff members, visitors and community members will feel safe and have a strong sense of belonging. We recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First People of Australia, and the Custodians of the Land we teach and learn on, and we value the knowledge they bring to our service and community. We are committed to building and maintaining meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our communities that are founded in mutual trust, respect and inclusiveness. Our educators/teachers will continuously seek new knowledge and information, allowing us to support allchildren’s sense of identity and culture, and build a culture of respect and understanding for all children at the service. Through celebrating and sharing information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, we will learn about Australia's shared histories, and explore how we can contribute to the national reconciliation effort.
