VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians stand together in mutual respect, understanding, and unity. We envision a society where reconciliation is not just a goal but a lived reality, where the rich cultural heritages, knowledges, and contributions of First Nation peoples are recognised, celebrated, and integrated into every aspect of our collective identity and shared future.  Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we commit to fostering meaningful relationships, acknowledging past injustices and working collaboratively towards a fair and equitable society for all. We aspire to create environments that are inclusive, culturally safe, and supportive of First Nations peoples, where opportunities for education, employment, and leadership are accessible and equitable.  Our vision extends beyond tolerance to genuine reconciliation, where differences are valued as strengths and diversity is celebrated as a source of resilience and innovation. Together, we will build a future where the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are heard, their rights respected, and their aspirations supported.  We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing journey requiring commitment, courage, and humility. We pledge to listen, learn, and engage with First Nation peoples as equal partners on this journey, guided by principles of truth, justice, and reconciliation.  Together, we will build a future where reconciliation is not just an aspiration but a lived reality for generations to come.  Acknowledgement Of Country
