Through our everyday interactions, we will actively acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and recognise the Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our centre sits. We strive to build and maintain respectful relationships between our centre and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities built on mutual trust, respect and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At KinderPark Wellard Early Learning Centre, we will continue respectfully embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives into our foundations and teaching/learning experiences through facilitating and extending connections between our centre and the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations.
We commit to our ongoing learning and to deepening the ways we foster further learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures through the active implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan.
