VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Papilio Early Learning Norwest, reconciliation means walking together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with respect, understanding and care. Its about acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our centre stands, honouring their deep connection to Countrys as we deepen our understanding of the worlds oldest living cultures.  For us, reconciliation is more than words its lived through our everyday practices. We strive to create a learning environment where children, families and educators acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples histories, cultures and contributions.  We believe reconciliation is about truth-telling, listening with open hearts, and building genuine relationships that foster unity and fairness. By embedding inclusive practices, sharing stories, and nurturing respect for the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, we aim to ensure every child grows up understanding Australias shared histories and hope for a future built on equity and kindness. Reconciliation at Papilio Norwest is about shaping a community where everyone belongs, where differences are valued, and where together we create a stronger, more reconciled Australia.
