VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is to respect and acknowledge the unique connections that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with Country, specifically the Dharug people, as we play and learn on their Land.

We are dedicated to ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised for being the First Peoples of Australia and commit ourselves to gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of being, knowing and learning.  We are committed to working in a respectful way with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We will provide meaningful opportunities to educate children, educators and families about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, perspectives and cultures and incorporate a sense of being, belonging and becoming at our centre.

We provide a range of experiences to enhance children and educators knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives and heritages and encourage connectedness within our centre and the broader community by embedding our learnings in our curriculum and routines.

We acknowledge the continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular to the education of young children, and recognise First Peoples existence since long before our Centres story began.
